First on the list is this find from Trader Joe’s.  As a fairly new vegetarian, I am always in the market for a good veggie burger. This one has a brown and black rice base (no soy!) and it is pretty tasty.  Check out the Thai Sweet Chili Veggie Burger.





  • See’s Candies Cinnamon LollypopsIMG_3212


My girls introduced me to these yummy cinnamon lollypops at Christmas and I thought what a fantastic Valentine’s treat!

Just enough cinnamon to make them really tasty.

Each pop is a 70 calories pop of deliciousness and just the right size when you need a little something sweet. You might find them at your local mall or right here.

I know we are trying to limit sweets but just sometimes you need a little something…

 HEADSPACE: Meditation techniques for mindfulness.  This is a terrific app for your phone with  “bite-sized, guided meditations designed to fit busy modern lives”.  It is free and a great way to slow down for a minute and destress during a busy day.

According to WebMd, Learning to be in the present moment can help you take a step back and better manage stress or cope with a serious illness.  Mindfulness can help ease anxiety and depression.  Many people who practice it say they relax more easily, have a greater enthusiasm for life and feel more self-confident.
